Landfill Operations

Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 4.30pm
Saturday: 7.30am to 12.30pm
Sunday: Closed

Closed Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day

Site Access:

The public do not have access to the landfill, the public is to use the Spreyton Waste Transfer Station.

Refuse collection vehicles are operated by the councils and registered waste cartage contractors.

There is only one entry and exit for all waste cartage vehicles, this is via the weighbridge. All details are recorded on entry and exit - weight, company/client, and waste type.

Materials Not Permitted for Disposal:

• Hot materials
• Tyres
• Chemical containers
• Reactive chemicals, acids, akalis, inorganic chemicals, paints, lacquers, varnish resins, inks, dyes, pigments, adhesives, organic solvents, solvent residues, pesticides, oils, hydrocarbons, emulsions, organic chemicals, chemical and pharmaceutical wastes
• Other hazardous wastes not listed must have written approval from EPA and Dulverton Regional Waste Management Authority.
• Freezers / fridges and air conditioners
• Gas cylinders
• Liquid wastes
