Be the organised force behind a growing organisation.

Looking for a role where you can make a real difference behind the scenes?

Dulverton Waste Management (DWM) is the region’s leader in waste management and resource recovery, supporting Councils across North West Tasmania. As our organisation continues to grow, so do the systems, processes and governance frameworks that support our success.

We are seeking a highly organised, motivated and efficient Governance Officer to help keep our organisation running smoothly and support the Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Team in delivering strong governance and business outcomes.

This is not a role where you will be doing the same thing every day. One day you might be preparing Board papers and coordinating governance reporting. The next you could be reviewing policies, supporting audit and risk activities, improving business systems, managing key records or helping deliver an important organisational project.

We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, takes pride in getting the details right first time and is willing to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion.

What we are looking for

  • Highly organised, efficient and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • A self-starter who can work independently, anticipate requirements and use initiative.

  • Professional, reliable and discreet when handling sensitive information.

  • Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change.

  • A strong communicator with excellent written skills and attention to detail.

  • Someone who enjoys improving processes and finding better ways of doing things.

Previous experience supporting senior executives, Boards or Committees will be highly regarded. If you have worked as an Executive Assistant, Governance Officer or in a similar administration or compliance role, we would like to hear from you.

Why join DWM?

At DWM, we are a small, dynamic team with a large impact. We are committed to growing our skills, improving how we work and giving our people opportunities to learn and contribute beyond the boundaries of a traditional role.

How to apply

For further information, please text Veronica Schilling, Chief Executive Officer, on 0409 174 164 to arrange a time for a confidential chat. Applications must include:

  • a cover letter outlining your suitability for the position;

  • a paragraph addressing each essential selection criteria; and

  • a current resume.

Incomplete applications may not be considered.

Applications close: Monday 19 October 2026 at 10pm and in person interviews are currently planned for Wednesday 28 October 2026 in Devonport.
